The graph below shows the total donation by the Spain to other recipient countries between 2000 and 2010. In the linechart, you can highlight any line by mousing over it.
The VI8's index.html page contains two linked charts - line chart and bar chart. Both are placed in two different containers viz. "div1" and "div2".
To do this assignment, I chose the "aid data" of ICW-1. Initially, I refined the data according to the visualization goal. The vis. goal includes the visualization of donation by Spain to other donation recipient countries. Because Spain donated from 2000 to 2010, so the year representation on the graph is being represented from 2000 to 2010. Both charts and linked to each other in such a way that when we mouse-over on a bar of the barchart, respective country's line also highlights in the linechart and vice-versa. On mouse over action, selected bar changes its color from blue to red and selected line from green to red for the clear visualization. Additionally, a description box also pops up when a user hover on a bar. This description let the user know about the amount recieved by the selected country in 2010. On the other hand, when a user hover on a line, a box pops up with the country name of selected line under the "Highlighted Recipient Country" heading.
In sum, there are total 32 countries which recieved donation from Spain between 2000 and 2010. Line chart represents the all recipient countries through lines. Barchart shows the bars for only countries who recieved donation only in 2010. i.e. other countries with 0 value shows that they did not recieved any donation in year 2010.
